After a 6-year stint in Japan as an English language instructor and corporate trainer, Mark returned to Singapore and joined Japanese TV broadcaster NHK as a producer and reporter in 2011.
Stories that he has worked on include the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), South China Sea dispute and also the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines MH370.
In early 2016, he set up 1238 with the intent of providing customised media services to meet the rapidly changing needs the present fast-paced society.
He has worked on news projects with NHK, Fuji TV, Nikkei, The Guardian etc. that include the first ever Trump-Kim summit in 2018 held in Singapore.
Mark has a degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Bath in UK and is also currently a licensed tourist guide conversant in 4 languages: English, Mandarin, Japanese and Cantonese.
